Pakistani Nationals


The Pak nationals on their arrival at Bangalore City have to report before F.R.O. Bangalore within 24 hours of their arrival. After reporting they will be provided with residential permit (RP) for the visa period by the F.R.O.Bangalore.


REQUIREMENT FOR EXTENSION OF VISA ON SHORT TERM VISA BASIS FOR THE PAK NATIONALS

Extenson of Visa is being granted to Pak nationals on the following grounds for a period of one month by FRO Bangalore under delegated power and by the State Government upto a further period of two months, one month at a time beyond the authorised period of validity of the Visa.

Grounds :

  • Serious illness of the Pakisthani national or his first degree relations.
  • Death of first or second degree relations
  • Marriage of first degree relations settled , or date changed after the arrival of the Pak nationals
  • Disruption of means of travel

For the above extension the Pak national should submit an application along with a challan of Rs. 15/- towards Visa fee.

PROCEDURE FOR GRANT OF EXTENSION ON LONG TERM VISA (LTV) TO PAK-NATIONALS

Grant of visa to PAK-NATIONALS visiting INDIA is governed by the INDO-PAK Visa Agreement 1994 as amended from time to time.
This agreement provides for issue of only Short Term Visa(STV). However instructions have been issued from time to time in the past regarding grant of Long Term Visa(LTV) to the following categories of Pak-nationals:

Member of minority communities in Pakistan (Hindus and Sikhs) ;
Pak-women married to Indian nationals and staying in India;
Indian women married to Pak-nationals and returning due to widowhood/ divorce and having no male member to support them in Pakistan; and Cases involving extreme compassion.

FOR CATEGORY (I):

Application along with Form-B, guarantee affidavit, indemnity bond, challan of Rs.15/-, (8) latest passport size photographs Photo copy of the valid Pak-passport.
For further extension, if any, for a period of 2 years only application along with Form-B and Photo copies of valid Pak-passport and challan of Rs.30/-.

FOR CATEGORY (II):

Extension of visa on LTV basis, the Pak-national has to submit an application along with Form-B, guarantee affidavit, indemnity bond, Photocopies of marriage certificate, (8) latest passport, and Photo copies of the Pak-passport, Photocopies of Indian passport of the Pak-national husband, challan for Rs.15/- for the first extension. For further extension, if any, for a period of 2 years only application along with Form-B and Photo copies of valid Pak-passport and challan of Rs.30/.
After due enquiry of the genuinity, the proposal of extension of stay on LTV s being referred to the government of Karnataka State for further action.

FOR CATEGORY (111) AND (1V):

The Pak national has to submit an application along with Form-B, guarantee affidavit, Indemnity bond, Photo copies of marriage certificate, (8) latest Passport size photographs of the applicant, Photo copies of valid Pak Passport, Photo copies of Indian Passport of the Pak national husband, challan for Rs. 15/- for the first extension. For further extension if any, for a period of two years only application along with Form-b of valid Pak passport and challan of Rs. 30/-.

PROCEDURE FOR CHANGE OF ROUTE

The Pak national who entered India via., Attari check-post or Mumbai check-post and going back to Pakistan through the same check-post need not require any permission. If the Pak national intends to change the route at the time of return journey has to obtain prior permission from the state government.
