Police Clearance Certificate
For the Police Clearance Certificate
the applicant should apply for the same at the Passport Office concerned. After
verification by the Special Branch a report will be sent to the Passport Officer
for issuing of Police Clearance certificate (PCC) by the Passport Officer.
VERIFICATION OF PASSPORT APPLICATION
The following aspects are being verified:
| 1. | Whether the applicant is a
citizen of India or not |
| 2. | Identification of the applicant with the photograph on the personal particulars form. |
| 3. | Whether any criminal case is pending against him /her in the court of law. |
| 4. | Whether his/ her case attracts the provisions of Sec 6[2] or 10[3] of Passport Act, 1967. |
| 5. | Whether the applicant has come to any adverse notice which would render him/ her ineligible for the grant of passport facilities. |
