Wrongful Restraint, assault one injured.

A case of wrongful restraint and hurt is reported in Virajpet Rural  Police Station.  On 6-2-2010 at 7-00 p m at Kadanooru village, when the complainant Smt A.K.Parvathi, aged 63 years, W/o Late Kariappa was in her house, accused Sampath obstructed the way and abused her and assaulted her with hands owing to marriage issue.  In this regard a case is registered in Virajpet Rural Police Station.

Road accident, one injured.

A case of non-fatal road accident has been registered in Madikeri Traffic PS.  Today at 11-15 hrs. at Madikeri town near Govt. Hospital, Madikeri accused Lokatha, driver of a Maruthi Omni bearing reg. No.KA-12-N-1951 drove the same in rash and negligent manner and collided against one H.T.Karaiah (79), r/o Mangaladevinagar, Madikeri a pedestrian.  As a result Karaiah was injured and he was shifted to Govt. Hospital Madikeri for treatment. 

School Van collided against Maruthi Omni, 2 injured.

A case of non-fatal road accident is reported in Somwarpet Police Station.  Today morning at 10-00 hrs one Sadakat Husain S/o Abduol Rasool, Konanooru village was traveling towards Masagodu village in his Maruthi Omni bearing Reg.No.KA-09-N-841, accused K.S.Murthy driver of School Van bearing Reg. No.KA-12- 1660 drove the same in a rash and negligent manner and collided against the complainant’s  Maruthu Omin. As a result complainant and his friend who was travelling in the said vehicle were injured.

Maruthi Omni collided against pedestrian.

A case of non-fatal road accident is reported in Somwarpet Police Station.  On 7-2-2010 at Somwarpet town near Ganesh Petrol bunk, accused namely Uddi Kalappa driver of Maruthi Omni bearing Reg.No.KA-04-9181, drove the same in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against one C.P.Jagadish (35), r/o Chikkatholuru village, Somwarpet a pedestrian who was walking near Ganesh Petrol Bunk.  As a result C.P.Jagadish sustained injuries.  In this regard a case has been registered in Somwarpet PS.

Maruthi Van dashed against Motor Cycle, 2 injured.

A case of non-fatal road accident is reported in Madikeri Rural Police Station.  On 7-2-2010 at Kaggodlu village, when the complainant H.K.Rajesh, Police Constable, who was traveling towards Madikeri for duty along with his wife and baby in his motor cycle, accused driver of a Maruthi Omni bearing Reg.No.KA-12, 1287 drove the same in a rash and negligent manner and dashed against the motor cycle.  As a result complainant and his wife were injured.  After the accident the accused escaped from the place.  In this regard a case is registered in Madikeri Rural Police Station.

Illegal liquor sized, accused arrested.

A case under excise act is reported in Siddapura Police Station.  On 7-2-2010, on credible information PSI and staff were conducted a raid at Hosuru Bettageri village and seized 5 nos. of quarter bottles of Superjack Rum and 20 quarter bottles of Old Monk valued Rs.1,000 by arresting accused namely S.B.Sathish, r/o Hosuru Bettageri village, where the accused was selling these liquor without any Govt. Licence.
